Australian Pinball Open Championships
Details
The Australian Pinball Open Championships is now in it’s second year. The even is open to all players, whether first time competitors or experiences players. The event is inclusive for all ages and anyone interested in having fun whilst playing pinball machines from all eras.
There are 3 side events on the Thursday, Friday and Sunday being a target matchplay, a 4 strike knock-out and final max matchplay events. Details for the rules can be found on our website auspinballopen.com
The main events are the Australian Open, Classics and Women’s tournaments. These are run over 2 days of qualifying with finals after the qualifying is completed. Competitors pay for a 5 game “card” entry and choose 5 different games to play. Their scores for every game are compared to other players and ranked accordingly. The top 32 in main, top 24 in Classics and top 8 in Women’s play in a final series to determine the champions. Cash and trophies are awarded for the top finishers in each tournament.
This is a non-profit event run for the love of playing and competing in pinball!
