Join us for the opening of ‘One foot on the ground, one foot in the water’; ‘Artists at Work’; ‘The River in the Sky’, and ‘Making a Name’.
The Gallery is delighted to welcome you to opening celebrations for One foot on the ground, one foot in the water, a La Trobe Art Institute exhibition toured by NETS Victoria and curated by Travis Curtin; Artists At Work: Installers of Tweed Regional Gallery with Mike Chavez, Chas Glover, Kevin Morgan-James, Nick Pike, Sam Steinhauer, and Ruth Williams; River in the Sky by Susie Dureau; and Making a Name by Lyle Duncan.
Doors open 6.00 pm DST for speeches at 6.30 pm
Enjoy live music by Lenny Bastiaans from 7.00 pm.
Please note if you have booked a ticket for the Artist Floortalks at 5.15 pm there is no need to book for the official opening celebrations. Light refreshments provided. Drinks available for purchase.
Join Apex Dining this special evening to enjoy a ‘selected choice’ menu featuring dishes from their much anticipated new Head Chef Andelson Dela Vega.

The exhibition has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body, as well as receiving development assistance from NETS Victoria’s Exhibition Development Fund, supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
River in the Sky is an outcome of the Tweed Regional Gallery – National Art School Masters of Fine Art Residency Award. The partnership between the Gallery and NAS aims to showcase emerging artists in recognition of Margaret Olley’s NAS alumna status.
Making a Name is a Tweed Regional Gallery initiative. An outcome of the PLATFORM program.
The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the City of Gold Coast Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
