Get your cars, dancing shoes and best outfits ready for Australia’s largest nostalgia festival, Cooly Rocks On. The beachside event attracts thousands of visitors to Coolangatta on the Gold Coast looking to celebrate the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear. The festival’s highlights include the Show ‘n’ Shine, Live Music, Elvis Precinct, Markets, Pin-up Pageant, Dance Classes and more. In 2022, Cooly Rocks On will return with a packed lineup featuring the best rock ‘n’ roll, swing, rockabilly and tribute artists from around Australia and internationally, set to turn back the clock on Coolangatta as they dish out the tunes of yesteryear! For the first time, Cooly Rocks On will host an Indonesian rockabilly band – The Hydrant – as one of the festival’s headline acts. Joining The Hydrant are Cooly Rocks On favourites The Flattrakkers, Ezra Lee and Louis King, The Satellites, the Johnny O’Keefe Story starring Vicky O’Keefe and The Hellcat III, just to name a few. Plus, witness world-class Elvis Tribute Artists compete in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest during Cooly Rocks On, being one in ten festivals around the wold to host the Elvis Presley Enterprises event.
