Jason King GURIAABU (a long time ago)
ART EXHIBITION
OPENING DRINKS – SAT 2ND MARCH 4PM TO 6PM
As an indigenous artist, Jason King, delves into Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime stories. He explains that it becomes a journey of exploration and interpretation. “The theme of creation and the distant past takes on a personal resonance, inspiring my creative expression.”
Through an artistic lens, he aims to capture the timeless essence of ancestral beings shaping landscapes, employing colours and symbols that echo the sacred narratives. The concept of a “long time ago” fuels his imagination, prompting him to tell the stories on canvas. Jason King enjoys engaging with the community. “In this dance of tradition and innovation, my art becomes a contemporary conduit, weaving the threads of ancient stories into a visual that connects past, present, and future.”
This thought-provoking exhibition runs March 1 – 28, with opening drinks at 4pm Saturday 2nd March at Mist Gallery, 1b 51 Tweed Coast Rd, Cabarita Beach NSW.
