Details

Gail Couper is a Surfing Hall of Fame Inductee and best known for her 10 wins at Bells and 5 Australian Titles. She arrived on the competitive scene as a school girl at the 1964 Manly World Championships, placing 4th after only having learnt to surf for a year and a half at beautiful Lorne. In addition to a teaching career, interspersed with surf competition ups and downs, surfing for fun brought joy, friendships and travel. Explore her journey through the era prior to Pro Surfing.
