About

Our session on February 19 is fully booked!

But we are going to run it again on Sunday March 19. You can book for the March session here, now!

Murwillumbah Community Gardens will be hosting a Native Bees Workshop with Courtney Castles, aka “The Stingless Bee Lady”, from Tweed Heads. She will be supplying us with a working hive of bees, which we will keep and maintain into the future.

At our workshop, you will learn about the difference between “social” and “solitary” native bees. You will have an opportunity to build your own “bee hotel”, and you will be able to take it home. And of course, you will be able to witness and take part in the installation of native bees at the Community Garden.

This is a child-friendly event, but we do ask that children be closely supervised.

Our location is on Mooball Street, opposite the Mount St Patrick’s Primary School, next to Showgrounds Gate 2.

Please be sure to wear closed footwear, and please bring your own sun protection.
