An afternoon organ recital at All Saints Anglican Church, Murwillumbah is to be presented by Warren Whitney, who is the Organist and Director of Music at both St Carthage’s Cathedral and St Andrews Anglican Church, Lismore. He will be playing the historic C W Leggo organ here, at All Saints.
Warren is very popular at All Saints, having been involved in the care a development of our organ, and having presented music concerts and recitals over a long period of time.
His recital program will present a variety of mostly well known English and German music, including a rendition of Hubert Parry’s great hymn tune ‘Jerusalem’, and an item by Fanny Mendelssohn, the sister of the great Felix Mendelssohn.
