Restorative Yoga is a beautiful, meditative practice of healing for physical or emotional fatigue and exhaustion. It is practiced in a quiet, dim space with minimal verbal cues. The body is completely supported by a variety of props including bolsters, cushions, and blankets so that the nervous system can down-regulate.
Each practice will incorporate breathwork and polyvagal exercises to assist the transition and integration into a restful parasympathetic state.
Lou has advanced yoga teaching certificates in Restorative Yoga, Remedial Yoga, and Trauma-Informed Yoga.
