Saltwater Currents: First Nations Seascapes and Contemporary Artefacts
Details
Saltwater Currents showcases the works of Yiman, Ghungalu, Gurreng Gurreng artist, long-time Northern Rivers resident, and former Indigenous Park Ranger, Anthony J. Walker.
Drawing from his background as an Indigenous Park Ranger, Walker brings his firsthand experiences of ‘caring for Country’ to life on canvas. Through vibrant paintings that vividly express his impression of the Northern Rivers region, particularly the region’s recognisable shorelines, Walker’s exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their own relationship with the area’s land, sea, and waterways.
A Tweed Regional Gallery initiative. An outcome of the PLATFORM program.
