About

Turning Tide Drama Festival 2023 is an annual one-day festival showcasing the talent of Drama students from secondary public schools on the Far North Coast. Held at Murwillumbah Civic Centre on the 2nd of August 2023 the festival provides students from Year 7 to Year 11 with the opportunity to collaborate within an ensemble and enhance their theatrical skills in creating original, devised theatre on specific topics and stimuli and structured by production guidelines. Each year the topics and stimuli will offer a new challenge to schools to create sophisticated theatrical experiences. The 2023 Turning Tide Festival devising stimuli is The Suitcase.

Each student group has the same stimuli criteria of The Suitcase and 10 minutes to showcase their creativity.
