The Dharma Care Winter Warmer Homelessness Relief Fundraising Cabaret is on Thursday 13 June 2024
Help alleviate the anxiety and distress caused by the housing crisis affecting communities in Byron and Tweed Shires.
Ticket price includes Welcome Drink, Dinner by “Snowy” and the Cabaret show. Limited TICKETS.
Dharma Care has committed donors that are dollar matching the first $20,000 of donations, enabling the Fundraising Cabaret night and initial donations to double their impact.
Your support will make a significant difference providing meals, safe sleeps, warm winter clothing, toiletries, and new winter-warming sleeping bags.
Funds raised will be shared among Dharma Care’s four local charity partners and will directly support people experiencing homelessness in Byron and Tweed Shires, NSW.

Hand rolled gnocchi, slow braised grass fed beef ragu, Shroom Brothers local mushrooms
or Snowy’s lemon myrtle vegetable curry with flavours from the home garden, rice pilaf, coconut sambal (vegan)
The menu will cater for vegan/ vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free.
Apologies there will be no further alternatives for for those with further dietary requirements.

Fletcher Street Cottage – Byron Bay
Fletcher Street Cottage is a welcoming, safe and respectful place for people experiencing homelessness to get practical relief, find connections and access broader support.
Fletcher Street Cottage is a one-stop-shop for our community’s most vulnerable with specialist services making for easy access. There is assistance with housing, mental health, physical health, legal advice, GP, Centrelink and counselling, plus other basics like providing a safe place to enjoy a meal, have a shower and do washing.

Fred’s Place – Tweed Heads
St Vincent de Paul Society operates homelessness services throughout NSW to assist people at-risk of or experiencing homelessness.
In their community hubs like Fred’s Place in Tweed Heads, they create a safe environment and a soft entry approach to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
They have access to food, meals, showers, and laundry facilities. Furthermore, Freds’ Place provides crisis intervention and thorough case management services to support individuals in making life changes.

Murwillumbah Community Centre
Murwillumbah Community Centre Inc (MCC) is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation providing a diverse mix of social support services and facilities for Murwillumbah and surrounding villages. We celebrate diversity and encourage social interaction, inter-generational and cultural respect, the sharing of knowledge and positive inclusion.
MCC Mission is to create a meeting place that provides a range of programs, services, spaces and pathways that meet the needs of the community.
MCC Nullum House Centre is a drop in space and hub for people experiencing homelessness in Murwillumbah. It is an unfunded program and relies solely on donations and volunteers.
Providing support, free meals and groceries, shower and washing facilities and social programs. With a roster of specialist services who visit the centre to connect with and further help many people experiencing homelessness. Delivered 3500 services in 2023.

Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre
Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre’s vision is to maintain and support communities that are strong, inclusive, and connected. It provides services and supports to improve people’s quality of life – with a priority focus on the needs of those who are socially, economically, and geographically disadvantaged.
Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre (PBNC) has a confidential service, ARMA (Assisted Referral and Material Aid), which is designed to assist people experiencing financial and/or emotional distress. Trained workers offer information, referral, advocacy, and access to material aid, including meal support, clothing, sleeping bags, tents, and furniture, depending on need.
