About the Circle

The Mindfulness Circle is an invitation to bring meditation, mindfulness and wholehearted living into your life. It is a safe, grounded space where people come together in a spirit of openness, acceptance and wonder to share their stories and connect with others, where we can feel safe to laugh and cry and be seen in our vulnerability.

Our mindfulness circle operates on a donation basis, with contributions going directly towards space hire and local food banks. Those that wish to support the continuation of the circle can do so via our donation box at the circle.

Learn more about our Circle here.

How does the circle work?

The circle is open to growth and change, so the format might be adjusted over time to accommodate the needs of our members. Currently, our circle primarily follows this program:

– Group Meditation & Check-in: We begin our circle with a 20-30 minute guided or silent sitting meditation, followed by a short check-in from each member.

– Heart Sharing: This is open time for sharing joys, difficulties, or what is currently alive for each of us while being witnessed by the rest of the group. This is an opportunity for us to listen deeply to one another while also paying attention to what arises in ourselves. Everyone only chooses to share their stories only if they feel comfortable to do so. Other weeks we may explore specific themes such as forgiveness, mindfulness at work, fears, grief, empathy, surrendering, attachments,…

***Note: The Heart Sharing may be alternated with some mindfulness/ creative activities. Please visit our calendar to get updates about the theme/ activities for each week.

– Harvesting: This is a short tea break time when we practice silence, reflect on what we’ve experienced and an opportunity to socialise.

– Closing: The circle closes with a short loving-kindness meditation as a way to foster a greater sense of connection to each other and to the world.
