About

Yoga in Slings combines energising hatha yoga postures both on the mat and in the sling. We emphasise the proper alignment of traditional asanas and incorporate the sling to facilitate a deeper stretch with less effort. Each individual progresses at their own pace, gradually enhancing their ability to focus on correct alignment and intention.

The sling, bearing some or all of the body weight, takes the practice to a new level, emphasising;

  • flexibility
  • core stability
  • body-mind awareness
  • trust

Inversions become more accessible and fun in the sling! You can indulge in the therapeutic effects of spinal decompression and enhanced circulation, bringing well-being for both body and mind.

Suitable for every body. No experience necessary – this is not acrobatics. All levels welcome!

Teacher: Anna Vuorensyrjä
