THE TWEED LAUNCHES NEW PLANNING TOOL TO ATTRACT HIGH-VALUE BUSINESS EVENTS 

The Tweed is sharpening its focus on the business events sector with the release of the 2025 Tweed Business Events Planner – a comprehensive resource designed to support conference organisers, incentive planners and corporate groups to deliver seamless and inspiring events in one of New South Wales’ most appealing regional destinations. 

The new planner features a curated overview of the region’s event-ready settings, including venue capabilities, accommodation options and unique delegate experiences that highlight the Tweed’s natural beauty, cultural and culinary offerings and commitment to quality hospitality. 

Sally Scott, General Manager of The Tweed Tourism Company said that the region’s unique blend of easy access, quality venues and unforgettable experiences made it an appealing option for organisers seeking the right destination to host corporate events. 

“The Tweed offers a compelling mix of accessibility, professionalism and authenticity – a valuable proposition for event organisers seeking destinations that can deliver on both logistics and delegate experience.” 

“Our new Business Events Planner is designed to streamline the planning process and showcase why The Tweed is an ideal choice for everything from team retreats and conferences to incentive programs and industry expos.” 

An essential tool for event organisers, the planner also presents options for pre- and post-event experiences to enhance social programs and deepen the impact of corporate events, with a focus on team connection, creativity and wellness – from outdoor adventures and art immersions at local galleries to First Nations storytelling and regional dining highlights. 

As part of its strong focus on the business sector, The Tweed was showcased under the Destination North Coast banner at this year’s Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) in Melbourne, where over 4,500 industry decision-makers gathered for more than 20,000 meetings.  

The Tweed attracts a wide diversity of business events and in recent times has hosted high profile conferences including Australia’s first Wellness Tourism Summit and the Australian Society of Travel Writers Convention and will soon welcome the Local Government NSW 2025 Destination and Visitor Economy Conference in partnership with Tweed Shire Council. 

“The upcoming LGNSW conference is a great example of how The Tweed activates business events across the region,” said Ms Scott. “Delegates will engage in meaningful discussions around the latest tourism trends, while experiencing firsthand what makes our region so special,” Ms Scott said. 

Program highlights for LGNSW attendees include a Walk on Country at Fingal Head, site visits to attractions like Tropical Fruit World and the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, along with evening functions at Husk Farm Distillery and Plantation House. 

Positioned just 10 minutes from Gold Coast Airport and within 90 minutes of Brisbane, The Tweed is an accessible regional destination with easy connectivity from Sydney, regional NSW, Melbourne and Southeast Queensland.  

With the Gold Coast Airport set to be Australia’s most connected trans-Tasman city as new Jetstar flight connections commence this June, New Zealand is also an important business events target for the region.
