Tweed Shire Council invites you to this free workshop focused on invasive species management in the Tweed. This practical session will build your confidence in identifying signs of feral animal activity and give you the skills to support healthier local ecosystems.

What to expect:

  • Learn how to identify tracks, scats and other key signs of feral animal activity – whether species are newly emerging or already well established

  • Explore threats and impacts on local ecosystems

  • Discuss practical monitoring and management approaches

  • Learn how and why to report sightings

  • Gain insight into collecting quality field data and how this supports stronger biosecurity outcomes and healthier landscapes.

Walk away with practical skills you can apply immediately – and a deeper understanding of how your observations contribute to protecting our local environment.

Important information:

  • Please arrive from 8:30am for a 9am start.

  • The workshop includes a session outside. Please wear practical footwear and clothing.

  • Morning tea (including tea and coffee) will be provided.
