Ride the Fire – Tend the Flame – Year of the Fire Horse Circle with Hekate Eurippa

The Year of the Wood Snake disintegrates into the Fire of the Horse leaping from the ashes, like a flaming beacon of strength, radiant and rippling with power. The blazing equine energy is alive with creative passion urging us to show up to be seen as time accelerates unfolding with opportunity.

Hekate has long been my light in the Darkness, she first came to me 19 years ago when my Father was leaving this earthly plane, appearing in my mind as a voice of illuminated strength through the deep dark sadness. Her presence a bright balm of courage that opened the way for the road ahead, ablaze with hope.

Horses have been part of my ancestral lineage for centauries and they are still part of my world both mundane and magickal and so is Hekate, whose flame I continue to tend both externally and internally.

And the goddess with her many associations with fire also has Horse aspects and epithets such as:

Eurippa = Horse Finder. Hipparete = Speaks to Horses. Hippoprosopos = Horse Faced

Hekate Speaks: “Having spoken these things, you will behold a fire leaping skittishly like a child over the aery waves; or a fire without form, from which a voice emerges; or a rich light whirring around the field in a spiral.

A full day of communion with Hekate; her flaming fires and equine aspects as we prepare to enter the Year of the Fire Horse. We will gather together in supported circle space and explore these associations through disintegration and rebirth ceremony, guided journeying, candle magick and activating movement designed to inspire and foster connections that will honour your pathway through the year unfolding. Join me to devote yourself to the goddess as both an external and internal force that regenerates the flame within as we Ride the Fire and Tend the Flame of this year of potency.

What to Expect: a supported space of community where all are witnessed and encouraged to speak their truth and explore their own unique magick, lovingly held by an experienced Hekatean witch, pagan priestess and journeying facilitator who is trained in holistic meditation, holistic therapies, death walking, spiritual mentoring, ceremony and has over 20 years of experience in holding space for deep transitions. This is not a space of superficial or aesthetic fluff, so be prepared to go as deeply as you are ready to. I am limiting spaces so that all are seen and heard, so secure yours swiftly to avoid missing out.

Timeframe and Venue: I work on witch time, however we will begin around 10am NSW TIME, so please arrive 10 minutes early. We will finish around 3.30-4pm. The Venue is Chillingham Community Association Hall at the Northern end of the village, not the Hall near Bucks Farm and the Store, there is parking both on the grounds and on the verge outside.

What to Bring: an offering for our Hekatean Fire Horse Altar, mat and cushion (one cushion will be supplied per person feel free to bring another for your comfort) for journeying, journal and pen, plate of food to share for lunch, water bottle. All other materials will be supplied including magickal supplies, refreshments, activating elixirs, nourishing snacks.

What to Wear: feel free to embody the fire and equine energy and any personal associations you may already have with Hekate. If the sun is shinning we will spend time outside too, so bring a hat and sunscreen.

Note: if weather permits and we have had good rain there will be an opportunity to swim in the creek after we finish for the day, so you can bring your swimmers and towel and outside shoes if you like. Please note I am not responsible for water safety, you enter the creek at your own risk and it is presumed that you can swim.
