The Tweed Launches 2026 Business Events Push and
New Venues from Coast to Country

The Tweed is sharpening its focus on the business events market this month, with two new event venues announced for the region. Earmarked to open in the year ahead, the new spaces range from beachside to hinterland settings, providing even more diversity for event planners and signalling an exciting new chapter for business events in The Tweed.

A new absolute beachfront venue is in the pipeline for Kingscliff, with Salt Surf Lifesaving Club making final preparations to open a stunning new event space to the wider community in late 2026 or early 2027.

Adding to this, luxury hinterland venue Hillside Carool is undergoing a major renovation to unveil a new-look events space for intimate groups. The revamp will see the venue emerge as a seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom executive retreat. Set to open in May 2026, the Carool venue will be framed by picturesque valley views and country elegance.

The news comes as The Tweed Tourism Company launches its 2026 Business Events campaign this month, aimed at attracting high-value corporate event spend. Business events tourism offers a range of benefits for destinations. Not only do hotels and venues gain valuable midweek bookings, but restaurants typically see increased trade and tour operators reach new audiences. Corporates also have minimal impact on the community and often deliver higher spend than leisure travellers. Research also shows attendees frequently extend their stay beyond the working week or return later with family and friends, contributing to future visitation and spend.

A central focus of the campaign is the launch of the 2026 Tweed Business Events Planner. This comprehensive digital resource is designed to support conference organisers, incentive planners and corporate event managers, providing a curated overview of the region’s event-ready settings, including venue capabilities, accommodation options and unique delegate experiences. By creating a one-stop shop for event options, the planner highlights The Tweed’s commitment to hospitality excellence, innovation and creativity.

Alongside the planner, The Tweed has also launched a Team Building Collection, showcasing how the region shines through nature-based and creative experiences that inspire connection. The collection highlights team building ideas unique to The Tweed.

Teams can take part in an inspiring corporate tree planting experience hosted by regenerative farmer Rachael Sanderson, working together to plant native trees in a hands-on workshop that strengthens bonds and creates a shared sense of purpose. Alternatively, groups can ditch the boardroom and get creative at Badlands Vinyl Paint and Sip, where participants gather inside a record store for a fun, low-pressure experience designed to boost morale, foster connection and unwind.

For a slower pace, guided Mindfulness in Mangroves experiences invite participants to reset among tranquil mangrove ecosystems. These immersive sessions encourage reflection, focus and calm, making them ideal ahead of strategic workshops or planning sessions.

Groups can also blend art and food with Pipit Restaurant’s unique seafood workshops, guided by hatted chef Ben Devlin. Participants leave with a bespoke art print inspired by the region’s seafood, offering a creative and thought-provoking experience suited to executive leadership groups and C-suite retreats.

Sally Scott, General Manager of The Tweed Tourism Company, said the planner and team building collection demonstrate how the region’s hospitality leaders are redefining business events through a new generation of off-site experiences.

“From paddock-to-plate dining and award-winning distilleries to creative workshops, these venues offer far more than a place to meet. They create moments that spark ideas, strengthen connections and reward teams with something truly memorable, so business feels more like pleasure. The planner cements The Tweed’s reputation as an accessible destination with award-winning venues and nature-based experiences.”

The Business Events campaign reinforces The Tweed as an ideal destination for corporate events across Australia. Located just 10 minutes south of Gold Coast Airport and two hours from Brisbane, the region is well positioned for both convenience and escape.

Whether hosting a small, intimate gathering or a large-scale conference, The Tweed offers a range of contemporary event facilities suited to every industry. The region also boasts diverse accommodation options, from resorts with award-winning conference facilities to oceanfront apartments, hinterland eco cabins and rainforest retreats overlooking waterfalls. This breadth of offering makes The Tweed an ideal choice for team retreats, conferences, incentive programs and industry expos.

In addition to the Event Planner, the Business Events campaign includes multi-channel marketing activity, media partnerships, digital campaigns and a dedicated blog series to promote The Tweed’s distinct blend of nature, wellness and landscape-driven experiences.
