Savour The Tweed team at North Coast Tourism Awards 2025

THE TWEED CELEBRATES A WINNING SWEEP AT NORTH COAST TOURISM AWARDS

The Tweed’s tourism excellence was firmly in the spotlight at the 2025 Destination North Coast Tourism Awards held last week Byron Bay, with a sweep of wins for local operators and experiences that were recognised for across a wide range of categories at the annual awards.

Leading the accolades, Potager – A Kitchen Garden was inducted into the Hall of Fame for continued excellence in Tourism Restaurants and Catering Services, a prestigious honour awarded after three consecutive gold wins.

Australia’s newest food and drink festival Savour The Tweed continued the award-winning momentum, taking home Gold in the Festivals and Events category, while the Northern Rivers Rail Trail was also recognised with a Gold win for Adventure Tourism as well as a Silver in the Attractions category.

Nature-based retreat Ecoasis took home top honours with a Gold win in the Ecotourism category and Pottsville’s Pipit Restaurant further elevated the region’s culinary profile by taking out Gold in Tourism Restaurants and Catering Services.

Continuing the celebrations for The Tweed and acknowledged as Finalists on the night were Better By Bike OZ in the Tourism Retail and Hire Services category and Tyalgum Hotel in Festivals and Events.

General Manager of The Tweed Tourism Company, Sally Scott, said the results were a true reflection of the region’s innovation, dedication to excellence and outstanding visitor offerings.

“To see such a diverse mix of our local businesses recognised across categories from dining and nature stays to adventure tourism and events and festivals really speaks to the depth and strength of The Tweed’s tourism offerings,” she said.

“These awards are all about celebrating the passion, vision and hard work of our tourism businesses who are consistently helping to shape holiday experiences and support our Tweed visitor economy and we’re so proud to see such outstanding efforts celebrated at this level.”

The annual Destination North Coast Tourism Awards are a collaboration between Destination North Coast and the NSW Tourism Association to celebrate the outstanding achievements of tourism operators across the region and provide a smooth transition to entering the state’s NSW Tourism Awards.
