Chef Sam Gowing is a Le Cordon Bleu-trained executive chef and clinical nutritionist with over 40 years of industry experience, based between Byron Bay and Brisbane, with strong ties to Ubud, Bali. Backed by science and led by experience, Sam creates immersive culinary experiences, cooking classes and wellness programs for individuals, corporate teams and luxury hospitality clients.

A former hat-winning restaurateur, Sam has developed culinary programs for luxury hotels, spas and health retreats around the world, blending clinical nutrition expertise with hands-on, wholefood cooking. In 2026, Sam was named a Finalist for Best Wellness Cuisine at the Spa & Wellness Awards, recognising her contribution to wellness cuisine on the global stage.

Guests can expect wholefood cooking demonstrations, interactive challenges and tastings designed to leave them feeling inspired, energised and equipped with recipes and lifestyle tips to take home. Sam is the author of The Healing Feeling, a collection of recipes and remedies drawn from her decades of experience in spa and wellness cuisine.
