Trackways Small World Sculpture Prize

The Trackways Sculpture Trail Committee is excited to present the inaugural Small Worlds Sculpture Prize, an exhibition celebrating small-scale sculptural practice inspired by the landscapes, stories, and environments of the Northern Rivers and Gold Coast regions.

Running from 20 June – 4 July 2026 at M-Arts Precinct, the exhibition will showcase a diverse selection of works by emerging and established artists exploring themes of place, ecology and identity through contemporary sculpture. Guests will enjoy meeting the artists and the opportunity to experience an inspiring collection of sculptural works in an intimate and thoughtfully curated exhibition setting in the M-Arts space.

The exhibition will be part of the LAVA Arts Festival running over the weekend of June 26-28.

The public is warmly invited to attend the Opening Night on Friday 19 June at 6pm, where the winner of the $2,500 Small Worlds Sculpture Prize will be announced by Judge Samantha Collyer-Moss and sponsored by Richard Roberts. A Runners Up prize of a professional photography package will also recognise artistic excellence and support artists in documenting and promoting their work professionally with Sally Singh. There will also be a mentoring prize for an emerging sculptor by Brunswick Nature Sculpture Walk. The public can have their say in the People’s Choice Award where the artist will win a day on the Rail Trail sponsored by Better By Bike. Finally, there will be an Artists’ Choice award sponsored by the Six and Four Wine Store.
