Kinship Doobai Dancers: Presenting new work – WE RESPECT, WE CONNECT, WE DANCE, WE BELONG (WDWB)

WDWB is a public, participatory dance workshop and performance inviting audiences (Mob and community members) to connect deeply with Country, kinship and spirit through movement.

These works share traditional and contemporary stories of Aboriginal women in relationship with Country.

WDWB supports cultural exchange, wellbeing and community connection through embodied practice on Bundjalung Country. Dancing on Country supports healing, strengthens relationships between people and place, and honours Aboriginal cultural knowledge systems that have sustained wellbeing for thousands of years. The project invites audiences in Pottsville and the wider Tweed Shire to participate in shared kinship and respect.
