WYAA/WAA Openings Celebrations & Award Announcement

Join us for the opening celebrations for the Wollumbin Youth Art Award (WYAA) and the Wollumbin Art Award (WAA) with winners announced on the night. 

Youth Award

4.30 pm – Doors open to Gallery Foyer for Youth Award

5.00 pm – Official Opening of Wollumbin Youth Art Award (WYAA) Award Announcements with Tweed Shire Mayor Chris Cherry and guest judge Tricia Quantrill who will announce winners for the Youth Award

Wollumbin Art Award

6.00 pm – Doors open for the Wollumbin Art Award (WAA) Award Announcements

6.30 pm – Official Opening of WAA with Uncle Victor, Aunty Joyce Summers and 2026 guest judge Professor Lisa Slade, who will announce winners of the Wollumbin Art Award.

8.00 pm – event concludes

To celebrate the WYAA and the WAA, Apex Dining will host a Pop-up Burger Night. Whether you prefer fish, chicken, lentil, or a deconstructed style, they will have a burger for everyone. Book your table

Event Parking

The WYAA/ WAA opening night is one of the biggest nights in our calendar. We recommend carpooling where possible.
