TWEED TOURISM COMPANY RECEIVES NSW GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR HIGH IMPACT MARKETING CAMPAIGN
The Tweed Tourism Company has received a significant funding boost from the NSW Government to support its marketing activities aimed at enhancing awareness and driving bookings to the region.
The State Government support will contribute $1,050,000 in marketing support for border recovery efforts in the Tweed, the Murray, Sapphire Coast and Broken Hill regions.
Announced by the NSW Minister for Tourism, Ben Franklin, the co-operative funding program will assist a range of tourism areas across the state with bespoke marketing support aligned to Destination NSW’s Feel New brand campaign.

Bradley Nardi, General Manager of Tweed Tourism Company, welcomed the announcement of a $250,000 contribution for the Tweed which will extend upon a further pre-existing grant that the region has successfully attracted through Destination NSW, the State’s peak tourism body.
Combining the Government’s border recovery contribution, the Destination NSW grant and the Tweed Tourism Company’s direct investment means that a high impact marketing campaign for the Tweed is on the way, with a combined campaign investment of over $700,000.
“This funding announcement from the NSW Government is welcome news for our tourism industry as recovery efforts continue following the challenging times that were created by border closures during COVID lockdowns, and further compounded by natural disasters that have greatly impacted tourism in the region.”
“We’ve already been filming in the region and are on track to deliver an impactful campaign to help us continue supporting local businesses and the regional economy in the coming months.”

“We will be encouraging visitors to get out and explore the Tweed’s diverse attractions and experiences on their next holiday and, with what is an unprecedented budget resource for the Tweed region, we will be able target metropolitan areas including the Brisbane and Sydney markets.”
Speaking about the co-operative marketing campaign announcement, NSW Minister for Tourism, Ben Franklin, said:
“Regional NSW is home to some of the most remarkable destinations in the world and this funding will promote these locations through striking new marketing campaigns which will showcase these communities to a wide audience.”
“Promoting destinations, products and experiences through our Feel New brand is instrumental in driving long-term social and economic benefits for the people of NSW and achieving the NSW Government’s vision of making NSW the premier visitor economy of the Asia Pacific.”
All campaign advertising will be delivered using the NSW Government’s Feel New brand with Visitnsw.com as the call to action.
