Swim with wild sea turtles at Cook Island, just 15 minutes off the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads. Snorkel with the Turtles is a small, family-run tour taking you into one of Australia’s most biodiverse marine reserves where green, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles live all year round.
Your adventure starts at Tweed Heads, where our friendly qualified crew fit your gear and run a relaxed safety briefing. Then it’s a scenic cruise past the river mouth dolphins often tag along, and from June to November you’ll frequently spot migrating humpback whales. At Cook Island you’ll slip into calm, clear water alongside turtles, leopard sharks, rays and hundreds of colourful reef fish, with a guide beside you
Beginners are welcome you just need to be comfortable in the water, and flotation aids are provided if requested. It’s a genuine ocean experience the whole family can share (ages 10+).
