HOPE RISES: An Evening for Dakota

Date

Tue 20th October 2026, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Location

4 Marine Parade
Coolangatta QLD 4225

Details

An evening of connection, community and coming together for a cause that matters.

Join us at Kirra Beach House on Tuesday, 20th October for a fundraising evening in support of Dakota Middleby.

At just 30, Dakota is living with stage four metastatic breast cancer. Her current treatment is no longer working, and the new options she’s exploring come with an extraordinary financial burden. Hope Rises, an initiative started by Dakota’s closest friends, is bringing our community together to ease that load.

What to expect

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Kirra Beach, join us for an evening of good company, an Aperol or Limoncello Spritz on arrival, grazing platters and pizza.

Dakota will share a few words about her experience and why knowing your body and advocating for your health matters.

There will also be a raffle with prizes donated by generous brands and local businesses, with supporters announced closer to the night.

Why your support matters

Not every cancer treatment is covered by Medicare or subsidised through the PBS and Dakota’s new treatment isn’t. That leaves her and her family facing substantial out-of-pocket costs.

From every ticket, 80% goes directly to Dakota’s GoFundMe, so she and her family can focus on what matters most.
