Get ready for 30+ flavour-filled events over five delicious days, 22nd – 26th October 2025, Savour The Tweed, a region-wide celebration of The Tweed’s culinary landscape. From farmers markets to farm tours, coffee cupping to cocktail classes, here’s 13 Savour The Tweed events under $50 you can experience this year. 

Tweed Taste Trail 

Kick off Savour The Tweed at Murwillumbah Farmers Market and venture on a Taste Trail for the senses. Find fresh and seasonal produce from local farmers like Jumping Red Ant, Shroom Brother, Summit Organics and more. Follow the smell of fresh baked pastrues to The Bakehouse of Tyalgum & Co for seasonal danish flavours and flaky croissants, served best with a cuppa from Sons Coffee Cartel.

Harvest & Handmade 

Put on your sunhat and join us on a regenerative farm tour of Raven Place Farm with head gardener Rachael Sanderson. After, experience a traditional gyoza making demonstration by owner Michelle Kuramochi complete with a plate of freshly-rolled gyozas, your choice of tea or coffee and a take-home jar of handmade crispy chilli oil.

Brunch by The Platform 

Set under the shade of the trees alongside the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, The Platform Cafe will be serving up a delectable brunch spread. Expect fresh-baked sweet and savoury pastries from their sister venue, Apex Dining, platters of locally grown fruit and pots of steaming Fallen Leaf Tea all enjoyed with delightful acoustics from Natalie Gauci.

Speak Easy: Secret Supper Club 

Step into the enchanting world of ‘Speak Easy’ at Tweed Regional Museum where history & innovation blend seamlessly with delicious bites and crafted cocktails. Kingscliff Tafe students bring to life The Tweed’s diverse agricultural bounty in the form of mouthwatering canapes and curator-led tours of the ‘Speak Easy’ exhibition space provide an insightful deep dive into world of communication.

Food Sovereignty 

Savour The Tweed hosts a dynamic panel with Magdalena Roze moderating Kyle Slabb, Josh Lewis, Rachael Sanderson, Georgie Goddard, Michele Stephens, Pam Brook and Sam Saulwick discussing provenance, sustainability, regeneration and ethical food futures.

Cane Country Taste Makers 

Discover the Tweed’s sugar story from farm to mill to rum with Sunshine Sugar and Birds of Isle. Hear from Sunshine Sugar farmers, enjoy a guided tasting and cocktail making class with Birds of Isle blender Sally Carter and savour a chef-prepared ‘sugar and spice’ snack pairing.

 From Bean to Cup 

Ever wondered how your favourite brew made it into your hot little hands? Discover the journey from bean to cup with award-winning coffee roasters Zeta Grealy (Zeta’s Coffee) and Gary Wall (Bastion Lane Espresso). Experience an interactive tasting experience complete with fresh pastries baked locally and unlimited barista coffee.

Kingscliff Lions Beachside Market 

If you’re staying on the coast on Saturday, pop down to the Kingscliff Lions Beachside Market. At this seaside market you’ll peruse stalls of local farmers and producers, and satisfy your cravings with food vendors like sushi, Moroccan street food pita wrap, made to order pizza. Finish up with a canale or two from Sunflour Canale stall – you deserve it!

Head out to Tyalgum where you’ll meander between small artisan market stalls at Tyalgum Village Market, grab locally baked goods from The Bakehouse Co of Tyalgum, get a scoop of traditionally made gelato from Valentino at Tyalgum Gelato or stay for lunch at Tyalgum Hotel.

Kids Pizza Making & Farm Experience

Coffee lovers are invited to Old Quarter Coffee Merchants Murwillumbah for a hands-on cupping workshop exploring Asian specialty beans, flavour profiles and tasting standards, paired perfectly with buttery croissants from Ben’s Patisserie for a delicious Sunday experience.

Savour The Tweed 2025 goes out with a bang at Plantation House, where chef David Moyle and Farm & Co fire up vibrant eats, cocktails and local drops. Lounge under the fig tree, hit the dance floor, and soak up the Sunday party vibes.
