Heading to the hinterland, a stop at the Tweed River House Lawn Bar in Murwillumbah is a must. This stunning restaurant offers a relaxed riverside bar with a neat bar list and clever snacks menu. Lounging by the lawn is a seriously delightful daytime activity from midday on Saturdays and Sundays.

Whilst in Murwillumbah, put aside time to wander the creative arts spaces of the M|Arts Precinct. Speaking of Friday’s, if you’re in town on one make sure you head upstairs into the art deco building of The Regent. Polished timber floors, a verandah overlooking town and an incredible vinyl collection makes this space one to adore. Send some of the gang to order drinks while the others select a record to play from the collection. You can also grab tickets to a screening, see a live gig or simply soak up the vibe in this truly eclectic historic building.
